Emmanuel is a product of Detroit Public Schools where he attended Northern Senior High School. He attended Wayne State University and graduated in 2004 with a B.S. degree in Global Supply Chain Management.


Emmanuel is a Global Supply Chain Purchasing Professional with over fifteen years of industry expertise. As a senior purchasing agent, he has been instrumental in improving cost saving methods for Fortune 500 corporations. He has a comprehensive understanding of making companies profitable, and more efficient.


His current position is a Senior Buyer with INOAC Interior Systems, a unit of INOAC USA Inc. Emmanuel was a huge part of developing the purchasing strategy from the ground up. He is responsible for the development and management of the entire supplier base. In addition, he is responsible for supporting four manufacturing facilities for INOAC Interior Systems North American Operations.


Prior to his current position, he worked for Magna Interiors which is currently known as Grupo Antolin. This position allowed him to be instrumental in negotiating their current contract with Third Party Logistics (3PL) providers. This negotiation led to $3 million in cost savings and improved the overall visibility for inbound material, which ultimately allowed Magna to operate efficiently and provide finished goods to clients. Other logistic experiences included working for UPS and Ryder Logistics where he excelled at contract negotiations and cost saving initiatives for these companies.


He is a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. a fraternal organization that shares their academic and organization skills with the Detroit metro community. He was initiated at Wayne State University (Alpha Beta Chapter) in 2001. In addition, Emmanuel serves a Board Member and Fund Development Chair of the Kappa Detroit Foundation a tax exempt non-profit organization that serves as the philanthropic arm of the Detroit Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He is also a member of Second Ebenezer Church where he worships with his family. He has been married to Bettisha Taylor-Idowu for ten years and they have two wonderful children Madison (7) and Ian (5) and reside in Canton, MI.


Emmanuel describes himself as a committed change agent who seeks to operate in a spirit of excellence in every facet of his life. He lives by the motto of “making the dash count”. We all have a date of birth and a date when we will die; however, the unknown is the impact we will make during our time on this earth so we must make the dash count!
