Raquel N. Welch is the COO of Red Diamond Digital and CEO of 529 Design Studio, the newest interior design studio located in Troy, Michigan. Raquel comes with over 14 years of diverse experience in Corporate America in purchasing (Federal and Automotive); marketing and recruiting. It is Welch’s design work that you see upon entering the recently opened, Spring 2018, Red Diamond Digital headquarters located in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
Welch comes with a strong network of contacts from small to global corporations due to her strong recruiting experience; specializing in candidates in Human Resources, Supply Chain, Purchasing and Operations. She is known for finding the “purple squirrel”, exceptional customer service, and educating candidates from mid to executive level by successfully preparing each with mock interviews, professional resume writing, to wearing the proper attire.
As the Vice President of the Xavier University of Louisiana Alumni Association of Detroit, Welch is responsible for all fundraising activities and college fairs within the Metro Detroit area. She has spoken on multiple educational panels supporting HBCU’s and previous professional speaker for Bureau Services for Blind Persons for State of Michigan at the Michigan Employment Readiness Seminar, and Oakland County’s Transition Connections Conference.
Welch was born in Flint, Michigan, raised in Troy, Michigan and graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science, and graduated in 2011 with her Masters in Business Administration. She is a mother of three very active children that are always seen involved in community volunteering. It is also Welch’s strong belief that educating, mentoring and introducing youth to STEM and Supply Chain industries is a necessity, not an option. She is a member of quite a few professional and personal organizations including a UNCF participant and member, NAACP, American Red Cross advocate and donor, American Breast Cancer Association volunteer, NBMBAA Volunteer, and IVY Professional Interior Design Member.
